While in Dublin for the dance festival, I found a spare hour to nick out to the art gallery and view the temporary set up in the town centre while the main parkland venue is being restored. The work by young artists from across Europe, programmed for Ireland’s presidency of the EU was pretty underwhelming, but the building in which it was housed was really atmospheric and the fact that there was nobody there but me, created a welcome interlude for reflection in an otherwise way too hectic weekend.
