Vanhaerents Art Collection

Brussels seems to hide a huge range of art collections in its higgeldy piggeldy streets. The Vanhearents Collection is only open one afternoon a month, by appointment and is not widely known even to locals. Showing an exhibition entitled “Sympathy for the Devil” and featuring some rather gaudy contemporary sculptures alongside work by Yinka Shonibare, Anthony Gormley, Wim Delvoys, Bruce Nauman and Christian Boltanski, this was quite a treat for us all. We also loved the huge room showing ASE+F’s The Feast of Trimalchio on six enormous screens.
