Tarrawarra Biennial

Posted on August 14, 2014

Again, in association with MAF, I traveled up to Tarrawarra for the opening of the Biennial. All the artists were present, as well as curators, Djon Mundine and Natalie King. It was a glittering occassion with bright blue skies framing the green Yarra Valley landscapes and contrasting the all in black art mavens clack-clacking up their expensive heels. Speeches introduced the themes of Whisper in my Mask and I would like to return to see the work more quietly and closely, when the circus has left town after this inaugural weekend.
