Spring 1883

On Saturday, after the intensity of the deperation tinged networking and abject mingling of the art fair, it was great to get away solo and really look at some art. I went to ACCA to see Optical Mix and Scott Capurro’s Slave, and then to the might alternative fair at The Windsor Hotel. I underestimated how long it would take to go through the twenty suites rented by local, national and international galleries and was reeling by the end of the four floor itinerary. This was SO much more interesting that the Exhibition Building and really made the experience for me. Clear stand outs were Murray White Room, Darren Knight, Sarah Scout, Sutton, Neon Parc and Utopian Slumps. But that is hardly a revelation.
