Meetings, shows and museums, Helsinki

Posted on December 18, 2014

A winter visit to Helsinki was rich with encounters; some familiar, some new. Whilst Kiasma, one of my favourite contemporary art museums, was closed for renovations, I did manage to see the very interesting exhibition at the Kunsthall, Taidehalli- The Last Artists- http://taidehalli.fi/en. I had a meeting with the Director of Kiasma, who expressed a keen interest to visit Australia. I was lucky to see two dance productions- Carl Kniff at Lume and a selection of short pieces at Zodiak. http://www.zodiak.fi/
I met with the Finnish Literature Promotion Agency, FILI as well as FRAME, the visual arts promotion agency. I also met with my long term collaborator and friend from Finnish Dance Promotion Agency.
